Rome, Ga. -  Thursday, October 7, Claws & Paws will be holding a fundraiser for the Floyd County Animal Shelter and Sterile Feral at Harvest Moon.

Howl at the Moon begins at 7 p.m. in the parking lot behind Harvest Moon. Admission is free but donations are gladly accepted.  The band Broad & 3rd will be playing and wine, beer and hotdogs will be available for purchase.

“Claws and Paws is very excited about this event,” said Nancy Knight, Co-chair of Claws and Paws.  Both organizations are doing amazing jobs in our community with rescuing, spay and neuter.  This free concert will be a great way to gather our citizens together to have fun and promote awareness of the needs of our animal friends.”

This is the third year that Claws & Paws has been in business. Funds from the event will go to help furnish additional heating and air units at the Animal Shelter and will help purchase an anesthesia machine for spay and neuter programs for Sterile Feral.

“We are very grateful for this opportunity to better house the communities’ homeless animals,” said Jason Broome, Animal Shelter Manager.  “I hope that everyone will find the time to attend or donate to this very worthy cause. The animals will definitely appreciate the comforts. “
