The Bridge Division, supervised by Denton Wright, installs and maintains all county bridges, guard rails, and sidewalks. Roadway drainage tasks consist of clearing beaver dams, installing and repairing catch basins and headwalls at culverts, pipes and bridges. The Bridge Division also is involved in construction on many special projects.

The Bridge Division works diligently with other Public Works divisions to clear our roads when heavy rain, wind, snow or ice storms threaten our transportation infrastructure. The crews of the Bridge Division are committed to providing a safe environment for the citizens of Floyd County and are assisted by inmate labor from the Floyd County Prison.
