Members of the Floyd County Police Department Marksmanship Unit recently won several awards while competing in a Pistol Tournament. The Pistol Tournament was sponsored by the Georgia Power Security Department at Georgia Power’s Plant Bowen. Numerous Officers from State and Local Public Safety Agencies competed in the event. Captain Mark Wallace won the Top Individual Award while Sgt. David Bohannon won the 2nd Place Individual honors. Captain Wallace and Sgt. Perry Maynard won 3rd Place in the Team Event.
