Work Schedule:  4 hrs. Sun-Mon; 8 hrs. Tues-Fri; 30 min lunch (40 hrs. weekly). Schedule subject to change based on work needs; FT w/benefits; Non-Exempt

General Description:

Performs manual labor by maintaining ditches, clearing catch basins, trims curb grass and other manual labor tasks including dragging, smoothing, clearing, and/or filing drainage ditches. Performs maintenance work on catch basins and pipes, including lifting and repairing lids; clearing and patching of pipes. Cuts grass with push mower, trims edges, and disposes of clippings.  May drive a city vehicle as needed. Assists in cutting and patching pavements with asphalt. Essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed.  Employees will be required to perform other job related duties as assigned.

NOTE: Position will be assigned to Downtown Development/Parking Services.

Work Experience Requirements:

Skill in following verbal directions.

Skill in the use of tools such as shovels, picks, and levels.

Skill in operating equipment such as hand and gas-powered tamps, rollers, weed trimmers, lawn mowers, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

No educational requirements. 

No prior experience required to perform the basic tasks of the position. 

Must already possess or obtain the National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) 100 and 700 within three (3) months of employment.

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s license in state of residency.
