Job Summary
This full-time position is responsible for enforcing federal, state, and local laws and to protect life and property. Shift Work Schedule: 4 days on/3 off; 1st (7am to 5pm); 2nd (3pm to 1am) and 3rd (9pm to 7am).

Qualifications
- Successful candidates must already be certified through the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (POST).
- Additional pay incentive available to candidates already Georgia POST certified with a minimum of one year work experience.
- Through October 2015, additional $500 ($.2404/hr) applied to base rate on a quarterly basis.
- Pay incentives are also available to candidates who already possess a minimum of at least 30 college credit hours, an Associates or Bachelor’s degree; are bilingual (Spanish/Sign Language); already EMT certified.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be a United States citizen.
- Must be a high school graduate or possess a GED.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and not have been convicted of a DUI in the last three (3) years and/or have more than15 points against driver’s license record.
- Must not have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor convictions/pleas involving moral turpitude or domestic violence, neglect or abuse.
- Must not have been dishonorably discharged from any branch of military service. (if applicable)
- Ability to maintain all requirements set forth by the Georgia Police Officer Standard and Training Council.
- Candidates are required to undergo and successfully complete a drug/alcohol screen, medical physical exam, polygraph, psychological test and thorough background investigation.
