Work Schedule: 4 hrs. Sun-Mon; 8 hrs. Tues-Fri; 30 min lunch (40 hrs. weekly). Schedule subject to change based on events. FT w/benefits; Non-Exempt
General Description:
This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and litter free environment in the downtown area. The incumbent will clean and maintain a sanitary downtown environment by removing litter from public walkways, streets, decks, lots, curbs, etc. Eliminate grass and weeds from all public areas. Sweep sidewalks, curbs, and medians. Essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. Employees will be required to perform other job related duties as assigned.
Work Experience Requirements:
•Must be skilled in following verbal directions.
•Skill in the use of tools such as a yard rake, broom, etc.
•Must be skilled in operating equipment such as a lawn mower, weed eater, leaf blower, etc.
Education Requirements:
•HS Diploma/GED equivalent or equivalent work experience accepted.
•No prior experience is required to perform the basic tasks of the position, but helpful.
•Must be able to perform manual labor and work independently without supervision in adverse weather conditions.
•Must already possess or obtain National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) 100 and 700 within three (3) months of employment.
•Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver’s license.
