JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this classification is to report to and advise Court in all administrative matters; supervise the work of all the deputy clerks he handle pay roll for the Court; and, assure the efficient operations of the day to day functions of the Court. MAJOR DUTIES: Supervise, direct and evaluate assigned staff; process employee concerns and problems; counseling, disciplining and completing performance appraisals; and conduct training sessions. Provide direction and guidance to court staff in Magistrate Court operations; answer questions on legal issues, court procedures and community resources. Provide direction on handling of cases and schedule all cases for a hearing as required by law. Handle all payroll matters and assure all employees are aware of all personal responsibilities and conduct themselves in accordance with the rules and guidelines of the County and Magistrate Court. Responsible for the administration of the Mediation Program working in conjunction with the 7th District Court Administrator's Office. Develop and implement department policies and procedures, reviews and updates same as needed and ensures staff compliance. Serve as TAC for GCIC reporting purposes. Works with the Clerk to plan, develop and submit annual budget for Magistrate Court. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  High School Diploma; three years of experience in administration, budgeting and planning in court environmental or related field.
