JOB SUMMARY:

The purpose of this classification is to perform clerical work functions associated with receiving payments, processing/maintaining documentation and records, and responding to requests for information related to the Superior Court Collections Office.

MAJOR DUTIES:

Process a variety of documentation associated with departmental operations, per established procedures and within designated time frames; distributes documentation or maintains records as appropriated. Performs customer service functions; provides assistance and information related to fines, fees, jury service, department procedures, or other issues; responds to routine questions, complaints or requests for service; initiates problem resolution. Receives monies in payment of cash bonds, court fees, fines, registration fees, child support, other restitution, or other departmental fees or services; records transactions; issues receipts; balances cash and forwards revenues as appropriate. Generates checks to distribute restitution payments; prints, signs and mails checks. Performs data entry functions by keying data into computer system; retrieves, reviews or modifies data in computer database; verifies accuracy of data and makes corrections as needed; generates computerized reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or G.E.D' or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
