Associations

EAA

The Experimental Aircraft Association, is a growing and diverse organization of members with a wide range of aviation interests and backgrounds. EAA was founded in 1953 by a group of individuals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who were interested in building their own airplanes. Through the decades, the organization expanded its mission to include antiques, classics, warbirds, aerobatic aircraft, ultralights, helicopters and contemporary manufactured aircraft. More importantly, the organization focused on people, offering the opportunity to make new aviation friends and form relationships while encouraging the sharing of information, stories and enthusiasm. TIGERFLIGHT FOUNDATION

With their home base at Richard B Russell Regional Airport in Rome, GA, TigerFlight Foundation has been leading the young to the dream of flight for over 5 years. Founded in the year 2000 by two Atlanta-area pilots to enjoy the challenge of formation flying and to promote a unique aircraft, TigerFlight now consists of four active pilots and two skilled formation flight coaches.

Through the team’s involvement with the Young Eagle program, TigerFlight helps introduce young people from the ages of eight through seventeen to aviation by participating in “free” Young Eagle flights. For more information about TigerFlight, please visit www.tigerflightfoundation.org.
