Board of Elections - Advanced Voting
Advance voting allows any registered voter to cast a ballot IN PERSON three weeks prior to an election.
Rome/Floyd County Advance Voting Location:
Contact the Election Office at 706.291.5123 or 706.291.5168 for location information.
Location information will be advertised in the local newspaper and on local radio stations.
Rome/Floyd County Advance Voting Date and Time:
8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Monday – Friday, three weeks prior to an election.
Advance voting is NOT available on the Monday immediately preceding the Tuesday Election.
The procedure:
You will be asked to complete an In-Person Absentee Application.
You must show one of the approved forms of identification as required by law.
You will be issued a ballot to cast your vote on an electronic voting machine, exactly as used at your polling place on Election Day.
No Reason Required to vote during Advance Voting Weeks.
