Mulch Sites Minimize

Both the City of Rome and Floyd County Public Works Departments have mulch sites that citizens can access free of charge, if self-loaded.

 

CITY OF ROME 
Located on Vaughn Road.
Customers can pick up mulch Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This is a leaf mulch mixture.
If a citizen needs assistance with loading, they should call 706.236.4570 or 4580 for an appointment time. 
Shovel loads are free.
    Larger loads are sold for a nominal cost: $7 for a pick-up load
                                                               $30 for a dump-truck load
                                                               $50 for a tandem truck load

 
FLOYD COUNTY 
Located on S. 1st street in Lindale, across from Wolfe Park. 
Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
This is a leaf mulch mixture.

Citizens can also pick up leaf mulch at the Berryhill Remote Site, located on Berryhill Road.
The remote site is closed on Mondays, but is open from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
