Fines for some municipal offenses in the City of Rome's jurisdiction may be paid online.  However, attendance in court is mandatory for some cases and fines for such cases cannot be paid on-line.

If you are unable to locate your citation number on-line please call the court for further instruction. Non-mandatory court appearance fines may be paid in person, by phone, or on-line. If you wish to pay in person you may go to the Rome City Hall (Auditorium) located at 601 Broad Street , Rome, Georgia 30161. If you wish to pay by phone please call 706-236-4462. Please note that all payments requested by phone will be processed on-line per your request. If you have questions or are unable to pay your fine on-line please call the Rome Municipal Court at: 706-238-5150 or 706-238-5151. If you have additional questions you may wish to consult with an attorney, attend court on your assigned court date, or call the Department of Driver’s Services at 678-413-8400.

Fines must be paid prior to 12:00 (noon) Eastern Standard Time on your assigned court date.

The acceptable methods of payment are: cash, cashier’s check, money order, credit card, and/or debit card (Visa or MasterCard only). Personal checks will only be accepted from Rome/Floyd County residents and they must be drawn on a local bank. The check must be made payable to The City of Rome and written for the exact fine amount.

If you are paying a regular uniform traffic citation on-line (Visa or MasterCard only) use your name (IN CAPITAL LETTERS), date of birth, and driver’s license number.

NOTICE: IF YOU ARE UNDER 21 YEARS OF AGE, OR YOU HAVE A COMMERCIAL DRIVER’S LICENSE (C.D.L.), OR YOU HAVE ACCUMULATED TOO MANY POINTS AGAINST YOUR DRIVER’S LICENSE, A PLEA OF GUILTY COULD RESULT IN THE SUSPENSION OR REVOCATION OF YOUR DRIVER’S LICENSE.
