General Description:

 

This position is responsible for a variety of tasks including processing purchase orders and bids for all city departments. Reviews quotes and bids, attends bid opening, places orders, and expedites deliveries. Prepares bid folders for City Manager’s review and approval.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 
  • Graduation from an accredited two-year college with a degree commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, with a minimum of two (2) years specialized experience purchasing or related field (municipal experience preferred). 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Georgia Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) and Certified Professional Public Officer (CPPO) designations as required.
  • Must already possess or obtain National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) 100 and 700 within three (3) months of employment.
