JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to perform clerical work functions associated with processing and maintaining information, documentation, and records; responding to requests for information.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Processes a variety of documentation associated with departmental operations.
• Processes and/or receives various forms, reports, logs, correspondence, calendars, court orders, judgments, notices, subpoenas, citations, warrants, capias, or other documents.
• Assists with various court activities; assigns dates for court hearings; places cases on docket; prepares docket pages for hearings; prepares, indexes, and files a variety of dockets; attends court proceedings.
• Records and/or transcribes court proceedings, dictation, or other data; processes bad checks, dispossessory and delinquent accounts; issues citations/warrants; assigns court dates; receives payments; prepares and sends notifications, letters and other documentation to merchants, tenants, landlords, defendants, garnishees and others.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or G.E.D. and six (6) months of experience in clerical/general office work or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
