Graduated from Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana. A native Hoosier living in Rome since 1972. Worked at Best Manufacturing for 27 years in marketing and executive management positions (traveled extensively in Europe and opened a manufacturing plant in Guatemala). Ten years as a financial consultant with A.G. Edwards and completed my professional business career at The First Presbyterian Church in church administration.
Married to Jan for more than 50 years. Three sons that were educated locally – two graduated from East Rome High School and one from Darlington. Blessed with five wonderful grandchildren.

- Past President, Exchange Club of Rome
- Past Treasurer and Board member, Family Resource Center
- Past Board member, Coosa Country Club
- Chairman, Maplewood East Homeowners’ Association
- Served as Deacon and Elder, The First Presbyterian Church
Objective: These are times that fiscal responsibility and conservative management are important to the forward progress of Rome. The excellent skills of our city manager, staff and Commissioners have met these challenges. I feel that my past business experience and conservative ideas will compliment the team.
