Advance voting allows any registered voter to cast a ballot IN PERSON the week prior to an election.

Contact the Election Office at 706.291.5123 or 706.291.5168 for location information.
Location information will be advertised in the local newspaper and on local radio stations.
- Rome/Floyd County Advance Voting Date and Time:
8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Monday – Friday, the week prior to an election.
Advance voting is NOT available on the Monday immediately preceding the Tuesday Election.
The procedure:
- You will be asked to complete an absentee application, because you are voting absent from your polling location and not voting on Election Day.
- You must show one of the approved formed of identification as required by law.
- You will be issued a ballot to cast your vote on an electronic voting machine, exactly as used at your polling place on Election Day.
- No Reason Required to vote during Advance Voting Week
