To vote absentee you must meet at least one of the following requirements:
- You will be absent from your precinct from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
- You are 75 years of age or older.
- You have a physical disability which prevents you from voting in person or you are a constant caregiver of a person with a disability.
- You are an election official.
- You are observing a religious holiday which prevents you from voting in person.
- You are required to remain on duty in your precinct for the protection of life, health, or safety of the public.
How to Vote Absentee
If you meet any of the above requirements there are two ways in which you may vote absentee:
Make sure you meet at least one of the requirements listed above to vote absentee.
An elector may cast an absentee ballot in person at the registrar's office during the period of Monday through Friday of the week immediately preceding the date of the primary, election, run-off primary or run-off election without having to provide a reason. OR
An elector may request an absentee ballot by mail and will not be required to provide a reason for requesting the absentee ballot. NO REASON REQUIRED FOR BY MAIL ABSENTEE BALLOT.

Your application will be reviewed and upon approval, an absentee ballot will be mailed to your address.
When you have completed the ballot, it may either be delivered in person or mailed to the Election Office. Mailed Absentee ballots must arrive at the Elections Office by way of the last normal mail delivery on the respective Election Day. Each individual must deliver his or her own Absentee ballot, unless the individual is physically disabled.
